This patient in his late 20’s from Edmonton wanted a realistic hairline and as much overall coverage as possible.
His research led him to Hasson and Wong where he discovered very few if any other clinics would be able to provide the coverage and density that Doctors Hasson and Wong could deliver. Through our website consultation form he scheduled a visit to Calgary to see former Dr. Hasson patient James to discuss his hair loss and possible options. James, who had also had a large megasession with Dr. Hasson, frequently meets with prospective patients in both Calgary and Toronto among other select cities thought out North America. When a patient with this amount of hair loss is willing to be a bit on the conservative side in terms of hairline design, it is music to Dr. Hasson’s ears as he knows that a more conservative plan will allow for the best amount of coverage while still being able to achieve a significant cosmetic benefit. In this case, given the larger number of grafts, this more conservative approach allowed for complete coverage extended to the crown. Had the hairline design been more aggressive, fewer grafts would have been able to be committed to the crown. It would have likely resulted in an area of the crown that remained bald. A lower hairline would have not provided any more impact to the front but rather would have robbed the crown of the necessary grafts to maximize the impact of the result. With this patient’s good laxity and density, Dr. Hasson and team were able to harvest 7264 grafts via FUT. 2190 singles, 4564 doubles and 510 3-4 hair grafts were used. With his average texture hair and given the large area to cover, good density throughout the frontal zone and mid scalp was achieved with a decent amount of coverage in the crown. These photos which showcase the great transformation were taken 15 months post-op.
