This Seattle patient in his mid-30’s desired to have his hairline restored back to a reasonable degree and have it look natural for as long as possible. He started noticing hairline recession in his 20’s that continued to progress into his 30’s. After a fair amount of research which included social media, he determined his objectives could be met at Hasson and Wong. His goals were realistic and he was comfortable deferring to Dr. Hasson’s best judgment on ideal hairline placement and design. With his above average donor hair and relatively manageable final hair loss pattern, Dr. Hasson could be somewhat aggressive with hairline location and shape to achieve the most natural and impactful result.
Dr. Hasson and team transplanted a total of 3055 grafts using the FUE method of extraction. 300 of those grafts were single hair grafts, 2495 were doubles and 260 were 3-4 hair grafts. A .85mm size punch was used in the extraction process. These photos were taken at the clinic just over one-year post-op.
Additionally, he was also starting to be concerned that some thinning was also beginning in the crown. Projected future loss in the front and mid-scalp appeared to be minimal with some slight signs that the crown could be at risk. The patient was using a 1 mg daily dose of a generic form of Finasteride to prevent further loss. Dr. Hasson suggested a switch to the name brand Proscar may be beneficial. The use of XYON Health’s topical finasteride or topical dutasteride was also an option should the patient want to switch at some stage to significantly reduce drug levels in the blood.
