FUE Hair Transplant Journey
This patient in his mid-30’s living in Vancouver was particularly bothered by his thinning, receded hairline and frontal zone. Similar hair loss was also shared with males on both sides of the family. Initially he tried Minoxidil for about a year with little success. After some online research, he decided to make an appointment to see Dr. Hasson for an initial constitution. It was determined his donor hair was above average and a substantial cosmetic impact would be achieved by rebuilding the hairline and frontal zone. He wanted to have the option to cut his hair very short on the sides and back and considering the relatively reasonable amount of grafts required, FUE was his clear choice. A follow up visit for his procedure allowed Dr. Hasson and staff to successfully restore the frontal zone using 3001 grafts via FUE. He was happy to stop by the clinic at selected intervals to document his progress and share his results with prospective patients. Thank you for talking the time to revisit the clinic for the photos sets and we’re pleased that you are very happy with the final outcome.

Day Before Surgery
Day of Surgery
Things are as expected. Grafts intact, hair wash and initial check up at the clinic. Feeling no pain, the only pain I recall was a few seconds for each needle to numb the scalp before the procedure.
One Week After Surgery
I’m told things are looking very nice and clean and I agree. A few remaining crusts expected to fall in the next day or two. Prior to this, a couple days of swelling, gone now. Slightly inconvenient to have a puffy face but no pain.
Five Weeks After Surgery
Most of transplanted hair has fallen out but there is still some fine hair from before the procedure which is providing a bit of a framing. At this stage I feel I look pretty good and no one is the wiser. In fact, about 2 weeks prior to this when there was a more hair, I took my hat off at a family function and to my surprise, no one said anything except that I buzzed my hair.
Six Weeks After Surgery
Looks like all of the transplanted hair has fallen. Transition has been smooth to this point.
Nine Weeks After Surgery
Not much has changed since May 24 except the surrounding hair is a little longer.
Twelve Weeks After Surgery
Same comments hold true from the June 12 update.
5.5 Months After Surgery
Starting to see some developments. Hairline starting to come in.
9 Months After Surgery
Change in my appearance is quite evident at this stage and everything coming in nicely. I’m told more is to come and should peak at about 1 year post-op. What I find interesting is my family members still doesn’t know. They make comments about how good I look and I say I’ve been going to the gym. I revealed my experience to another friend who is considering a procedure. He was impressed and said he would have never known I had something done as it looks so natural.
