Patient #1941

Before

This patient in his early 50’s from Vancouver area had been using Propecia to stabilize his hair loss for many years. It served him well and prevented extensive hair loss on the top and crown.

However, as is often times the case, it does not work as well in the hairline and front. As his hairline became more of a bother to him, he started researching the internet for possible hair restoration solutions for his thinning and receded hairline. His research lead him to Hasson and Wong. As is the case with many local patients, they are pleasantly surprised to learn that one of if not the best clinic in the world is located right in their backyard. He also was interested in FUE and happy to know that Hasson and Wong had become very proficient in FUE and was convinced Dr. Wong’s FUE results were as good as his famous FUT results.  Wanting a subtle change, he was willing to have 2-3 small procedures to transition into the final result. Dr. Wong convinced him that he could comb his hair forward to hide the work shortly after the procedure and no one would notice. He could have the desired result in one procedure and would not have to wait another 1-2 years for the final outcome. It is always recommended where possible that the work be completed in as few procedures as possible. While it can be broken down into 2 to 3 sessions, it is usually always best to do as much as possible or necessary in one session. Only in special cases such as repair or scarring is a 2nd or 3rd procedure necessary or part of the plan. Understanding this and agreeing, shortly after his initial consultation at the clinic with Dr. Wong, he booked his procedure. His FUE hair transplant procedure required 1862 grafts of which 189 were single hair grafts, 973 were doubles and 700 were multi hair grafts. A .9 mm motorized punch was used to harvest the grafts. These photos were taken 1 year post-op. He now has the styling options he has not had in years and has very nicely enhanced his appearance.
