This Vancouver area patient in his mid 20’s came to the clinic to see Dr. Hasson about his thinning and receded hairline. He was becoming increasing self-conscious about the loss and felt it was time to address it. He was employing some creative styling, as is the case with many patients, where he would comb the longer hair from the top of the sides along the part and swing it to the side over the weakness in front. With some miniaturized hair to cling to, the illusion of coverage was achieved. Of course any wind/rain or situations where water was involved could pose a problem and expose the weakness. Having this extra hair to comb over in combination with the FUE, enabled a smooth transition after his procedure with little down time. After some initial facial swelling, within a week he was able to hide the fact he had recently undergone a hair transplant procedure.
Dr. Hasson and his team placed 2593 grafts extracted via FUE to lower his hairline and rebuild part of his frontal zone. Of the 2593 grafts, 456 were single hair grafts, 1710 were double hair grafts and 427 were 3-4 hair grafts. The size punch used for the extraction was 8.5 mm. These photos were taken only a week shy of 5 months post-op with more growth to come. He will make monthly trips back to the clinic for updated photos until his final result has grown in. Dr. Hasson expects his result to improve every month and be even more impressive in the end. He can now expose his hairline and no longer worries about the wind, water and rain. The comb over is essentially gone and more styling options are at his disposal. He is very pleased to this point as he recently has noticed quite a difference in the density and coverage. He is excited for the continued improvements and final result. Look for updates including a series of photos in the timeline section showing his journey from day one.
