]Vancouver area patient was around 60 years old at the time of his hair transplant procedure. This ideal candidate had above average donor hair with loss confined to the front half of the scalp. With a relatively manageable area to cover coupled with his excellent donor area, a substantial amount of grafts could be committed to the necessary areas without regard for future supply. Even if he was to thin latter in the crown, where would be an ample supply left in the donor reserves to restore any potential future loss. These are the ideal conditions for a hair transplant patient. As is the case for all patients who have lost their hairline and frontal zone, a significant cosmetic impact can be achieved with restoration of these areas. Dr. Hasson and team transplanted 4,200 densely packed grafts via FUT to rebuild the hairline, frontal zone and mid scalp. 1214 were single hair grafts, 2843 were doubles and 143 were 3-4 hair grafts. Hair shaft caliber was on the finer side but the overall donor hair characterizes were ideal. Overall donor hair density and supply were high. This is another good example that when raw materials (donor hair) are favorable and the area of bald scalp to cover is manageable, an impressive result with high density and full coverage can be achieved. However, these key components must also be paired with the skill and technology of a surgeon capable of properly utilizing these perfect conditions set in front of him. These positive raw materials can be wasted when the doctor and staff are not equipped to utilize them correctly. Very few hair transplant clinics are capable of this type of high density in one session. Even with excellent donor hair, this result is not possible without the right doctor and team. These photos were taken at the clinic just short of 14 months post-op.
